A life center for the whole household

Dr. Jeremy Hess and the team adjust newborns, expecting mothers, shift workers and grandparents — often in the same afternoon, in the same quiet room off N Henry Blvd.

01 — Care team

The doctors you actually see each visit

No rotating locums and no hand-off to an unfamiliar assistant. Two chiropractors and a wellness coordinator carry the entire practice, so your history stays in the room.

Jeremy Hess, D.C.

Founder & clinical director

Opened the center in Stockbridge after finishing at Life University and has been adjusting Henry County families ever since. Known for explaining an x-ray in plain English.

  • Diversified and Thompson drop technique
  • Webster Technique certified
  • Georgia Chiropractic Association member

Maya Caldwell, D.C.

Associate chiropractor

Takes most of the prenatal and pediatric appointments. Parents book her when a toddler will not sit still — the visit turns into a game and the adjustment still happens.

  • Pediatric and prenatal focus
  • Low-force instrument adjusting
  • Bilingual visits, English and Spanish

Renee Porter

Wellness coordinator

Runs benefits checks before your first visit, so the number you hear at the desk is the number on the statement. She also keeps the family scheduling block running on time.

  • Insurance verification in advance
  • Care plans and payment options
  • Same-household appointment blocks
02 — The center

Walk the center before you walk in

Suite 100 is one floor, no maze of corridors: a warm front room, two adjusting bays, a corner where kids wait without being told to be quiet, and a recovery nook with heat and traction.

03 — Family journeys

Three Stockbridge households, three different reasons

Composite stories from the practice, shared with permission and stripped of names. Every plan is individual — these are simply the shapes a plan usually takes.

Warehouse shift, 4 a.m. alarm

Forty-one, on a forklift five nights a week, waking with a locked lower back. Care started at three visits a week with mobility homework, then tapered as the mornings got easier.

After 7 weeks: back to one maintenance visit a month and a full shift without the mid-day wall.

Second pregnancy, first without dread

Referred by her midwife at 22 weeks with hip and pelvic pain. Webster-technique visits every other week through the third trimester, plus a pillow setup that finally let her sleep.

Through delivery: comfortable enough to keep working until week 38.

A nine-year-old and a heavy backpack

Mum noticed one shoulder riding higher in school photos. Low-force adjustments, a backpack refit and two posture drills he could do while brushing his teeth.

After a term: even shoulders in the class photo and no more evening complaints.

04 — In their words

What Henry County patients tell us

“I brought my son in expecting a fight and left with an appointment for myself. Dr. Caldwell talked to him, not over him, and he asked to come back.”

Danielle R. · Stockbridge

“Renee ran my benefits before I ever sat on the table, so there was no surprise bill three weeks later. That alone is worth the drive from McDonough.”

Marcus T. · McDonough

“Dr. Hess put my scan on the screen and drew on it with his finger until I understood what we were fixing. Nobody had done that in nine years of back trouble.”

Priya N. · Ellenwood

“We book the four of us back to back on a Wednesday afternoon. Forty minutes and the whole family is done for the week.”

The Whitfields · Locust Grove
05 — Care options

Care we provide under this roof

Four ways families use the center. Most start with an evaluation and land somewhere on this list within the first fortnight.

Chiropractic adjustments

Hands-on and drop-table work for lower back, neck and the headaches that start between the shoulder blades. Adjusted at the pace your body allows, never forced.

Adults

Prenatal & Webster care

Pelvic balance work through every trimester, with pregnancy pillows on the table and midwife-friendly notes if your birth team asks for them.

Expecting mothers

Pediatric & family checks

Gentle, low-force checks for newborns through teenagers — growth spurts, sports seasons, backpacks and screens all leave their mark.

Ages 0–17

Posture & recovery support

Heat, traction and a short home routine for desk and warehouse bodies, built so it fits in the ten minutes you actually have.

Desk & shift workers
  • Most major insurance verified before your first visit
  • Digital x-ray referral when it is genuinely needed
  • Household appointment blocks on Wednesday afternoons

Hold a table time this week

New patients are usually seen within two business days. Tell us who is coming in and what hurts — benefits are checked before you arrive, so the first visit is care, not paperwork.

06 — The story

Discover Health started with one stubborn lower back

It was Jeremy's father's back, and it had already survived two specialists and a filing cabinet of scans. The adjustment that finally worked took eleven minutes and cost less than the parking at the last appointment. That afternoon decided a career.

The center on N Henry Blvd opened as a single room and grew the way most good practices do — one household telling another. Today the same table serves four-day-old babies and eighty-year-old gardeners, which is exactly the point of a life center.

  • Care plans reviewed out loud, never assumed
  • Independent and locally owned since day one
  • Evening blocks on Monday through Thursday for working families
